How does an adjustable bed for a casket work?Updated 3 months ago
An adjustable bed for a casket is designed for the funeral director to easily raise and lower the body of the deceased in a casket for the purpose of staging a viewing and then closing the casket for final burial (or sometimes cremation). The bed adjusts up and down with an ACME threaded screw or lift attached to a spring mattress frame at the head and foot of the casket. The lift attaches inside the casket with a bracket attached to the casket floor and another bracket at the top of the lift attached to the upper side of both head and foot ends of the casket sidewalls.
